Download the file to a folder on your hard drive.
Close any screen savers, virus protection programs, or any other software programs that are running on your computer.
Go to the folder where you downloaded the software and double click the file to extract the files.

Some printers may experience slower performance due to the different ways that some computers and printers handle bi-directional communication of the parallel (LPT) interface. Some larger, more complex jobs may need more time to process and print due to the increased communication traffic over the parallel interface.

Below are easy-to-follow instructions for downloading and installing the Screen Reader Accessibility for Status and Alerts software.
Before proceeding with the software installation, the printer must first be properly set up, and the printer drivers must be already installed, and your computer must be ready to print.
Download the file to a folder on your hard drive.
Close any screen savers, virus protection programs, or any other software programs that are running on your computer.
Go to the folder where you downloaded the software and double click the file to extract the files.
Go to the folder where these files were extracted to, for example c:\lj1080, and double click on the setup.exe file to start the installation process. During the install process you will be asked to select options for "Display status window when." We suggest you select all of the options for Screen Reader Accessibility.
You only need to install this software once on each computer for all HP LaserJet printers connected, either on the network or direct.
Open the "Job Status and Alerts" software. We suggest you review each of the options for status and alerts and select the ones you wish to receive for your printer.

HP LaserJet AutoCAD 13/14 HP-GL/2 Driver

This option allows you to download a single file that contains the entire Product Software.
To download into a temporary, default directory on your PC, download the file. Note the directory and path where the file is saved to. You will need to access this file on your PC.
To expand (unzip) this file; find the directory where the file was saved to. Double click on the file.
Please note that this file will create and extract into a default directory on your hard drive. You will have the opportunity to change the Drive and Directory.


The second option allows you to download the entire printing system as several individual files. Each file is less than 1.44 MB and will fit on a 3.5 inch diskette.
Download each file into a single temporary directory.
Run each of the file names to extract.
The files will automatically create a directory on your hard drive and extract into it.
You will have an opportunity to change the drive and directory.

HP Mobile Printing for Notebooks (formally known as HP Mobile Printing Driver) is a software solution designed to facilitate printing from mobile notebook computers to network-connected Postscript-enabled HP printers.

As the notebook user moves around within the enterprise from floor to floor or from site to site, there is a need to print to networked printers that are encountered while away from the desk. HP Mobile Printing for Notebooks allows easy printing access to these newly encountered printers. There is no need to locate the printer driver or create a new network port. The user simply selects the HP Mobile Printing application, enters the network address (IP Address, hostname, or UNC pathname) of the target printer when prompted, and the print job is sent to the printer.

A Web JetAdmin plug-in has been developed to allow IT administrators to remotely enable display of the printer IP address on the printer control panel display. To download this plug-in, please visit the HP web jetadmin software and components download site.

If the printer IP address is not displayed, you may determine the IP address by printing a Configuration Page from the printer control panel menu.
