Installation and Setup

Driver & Application Installation/Removal Procedure For Realtek AC'97 Codec:

Setup Driver/Application at first time:
---------------------------------------

Step 1. Before installing the Realtek AC'97 Drivers & Applications, Press the
[Cancel] button if Windows detect the PCI Multimedia Audio device.

Step 2. Insert the "Realtek AC'97 Drivers & Applications" CD into the CD-ROM
drive and run the setup.exe program to finish the installation.

Step 3. Click on [Next/OK/Go] to continue the procedure. If the Windows popup
"Digital Signature Not Found" message, press [Yes] to continue the
installation.

Step 4. Finally, select to restart the system and press [Finish] to complete
the installation.

The system will reload the drivers and do some adjustments in the INF
file if so required.

Update Driver/Application:

Step 1. Follow Step 2,3,4 described in [Setup at first time] above to complete
the procedure.

Remove Driver/Application:
--------------------------

Step 1. Go to Start\Settings\Control Panel.

Step 2. Select [Add/Remove Programs] icon.

Step 3. Select "Realtek AC'97 Drivers and Applications" and press [Change/Remove]
button.

Step 4. Click on [Next/OK/Go] to finish the uninstallation.

Step 5. At the end of the procedure, select to restart the system and press
[Finish] to complete the uninstallation.

This readme.txt shows the procedure to update INF file of the ENE
CB1410 Cardbus Controller for Microsoft Windows XP/2000/ME/98SE.

1. Select "Start" menu.

2. Select "Control Panel"

3. Double click "System" icon.

4. Click the "Hardware" tab in the "System Properties" window.

5. Click the "Device Manager" button.

For Windows 2000

1. Double click "My Computer" icon on the desktop.

2. Double click "Control Panel" icon.

3. Double click "System" icon.

4. Click the "Hardware" tab in the "System Properties" window.

5. Click the "Device Manager" button.

1. Double click "My Computer" icon on the desktop.

2. Double click "Control Panel" icon.

3. Double click "System" icon. If you can not see the "System" icon,
please click "view all Control Panel options".

4. Click the "Device Manager" tab in the "System Properties" window.

5. Double click the "PCMCIA socket" selection.

Alps Pointing-device Driver provides a convenient way to modify
setting for Alps Pointing-device. The Alps Pointing-device Driver
is compatible with most standard mice and similar pointing devices.

1. Driver Installation for Windows 2000/XP

Use this procedure if you use Windows 2000/XP:
1) From the Start menu, select Settings, Control Panel.
2) Double-click Mouse to open Mouse Properties.
3) Select the Hardware tab, and then click Properties.
4) Select the Driver tab, and then click Change.
5) Click Next.
6) Select Display a list of the known drivers for this
device so that I can choose a specific driver, and
then click Next.
7) Click Have Disk.
8) Click Browse.
9) Choose specific directory name that you have copied
driver files.
10) Click Apfiltr.inf, and then click Open.
11) Click OK.
12) Click Alps Pointing-device, and then click Next.
13) Click Next to copy the driver files to your system.
14) Click Finish.
15) Click Close.
16) Click Yes, then restart PC automatically.
