Installation information: Cardreader under XP

Please keep in mind that USB readers must not be connected before the software is installed.

If you plugged in the reader already before installing, it will have to be erased again.

Mostly, it is being recognized as unknown USB device and listed in the rubric "Universal Bus Controller", "Other devices" or " Other modules".

If such information is given, it will have to be deleted in the normal, as well as in the secured modus. You will have to unpack the driver into a directory before installing the software.

Under "extract to": choose the folder to where the driver shall be unpacked.

Afterwards, click on "extract" and the files will be depacked to the corresponding file.

After this, install the software by double clicking on the datei setup.exe in the unpacked folder.

When the software installation is being completed, the computer has to be re-started.

If the following information appears: "... did not pass the Windows logo test, which checks compatability with WinXP...", please select to continue installation.

After re-starting the computer, the cardreader can be plugged in. If the hardware assistant is popping up, the driver can be searched for automatically.

By now, the cardreader sould be listed correctly in the system. This information is valid for the operating system XP.
