Hewlett Packard HP Designjet 20ps Download Drivers

If your operating system is MAC OS 9.2 or 9.2.1 and you have an HP Designjet 10ps or 20ps printer, you may be experiencing problems related to the performance of your system. There is now a patch that will ensure your system is not affected by this issue.

(This patch only works with the software RIP version 1.1 or higher. Should you not have this version, contact hp support.)
To run the patch:
Download this patch on your computer
On your desktop, double click on the patch file
In the window that appears, select your printer and click on OK

When installing the HP Designjet 10psS or 20ps in a MAC OS 9.2 or MAC OS 9.2.1 that comes with new printers from last July, the software RIP may ze the complete MAC.
In order to solve this, you have to replace a library (a file) and place it in the "program/ports" folder of the software RIP. For the default directory , the path for the HP Designjet 10ps would be:
HDD::hp designjet 10PS:program:ports

Download process - Click on the Download Now - Save the program to disk - Run the program - Save all de-compressed files - Execute it And follow the next steps.

The MAC Office driver for Macintosh enables you to print documents from any office application running in Mac OS software version 9.
System Requirements:
- MAC OS 9.1 and higher
- At least 128 MB of RAM
- 15 MB of available hard disk space

The MAC Office driver for Macintosh enables you to print documents from any office application running in Mac OS software version X.
System Requirements:
- MAC OS X v.10.1.5, MAC OS X v.10.2.2 and higher
- At least 128 MB of RAM
- 70 MB of available hard disk space

We have detected certain instances where the Software RIP v2.1 for the hp dj10ps and 20ps will not run correctly on Windows machines. Upon launching the software RIP, the error message "Invalid Page Fault in App2.exe" appears. This error message may occur with the following operating systems Microsoft Windows 2000, 95, 98, ME and NT 4.0. A patch has been developed to resolve this issue.
NOTE: There is no supported driver for Windows XP
Warnings:

* Do not apply this patch unless your installation exhibits this issue!!
* Do not apply this patch without first upgrading the printer firmware (A02.09 as of May 15, 2003) Use the System Maintenance Tool to do this.
* Apply this patch only to version 2.1 of the hp dj10ps or dj20ps Software RIPs. Do not apply this patch to either the hp dj500ps or hp dj120 Software RIPs.

How to apply the patch
=======================
1. Download and unzip the patch if you have not already done so.
2. Make sure the printer is upgraded to the latest available firmware (A02.09 as of May 15, 2003)
IMPORTANT: DO NOT APPLY THIS PATCH WITHOUT FIRST UPGRADING THE PRINTER FIRMWARE!
3. Uninstall the current software version of the rip. (Add/Remove Programs)
4. Remove the folder (c:\program files\hp designjet 10 or 20ps rip) associated with the rip.
5. Reboot the computer before you try to install the new version of the rip.
6. Install the 2.1 version of the software. After the reboot of the pc continue the install process for the postscript driver.
7. After the installation is complete, launch the software to verify the app2.exe error.
8. Search for the file app2.exe. Once you find it, rename the file to app2.exe_original.*
9. Copy the included file (app2.exe_patched) to the location of the previous one from step 8 and rename it "app2.exe".*
10. Launch the software and verify that the Rip starts/run correctly.


* note: if you cannot see the extensions of files in Windows Explorers, you may need to disable the option "Hide Extensions for Known File Types". This can be found under Tools->Folder Options->View from the Explorer menu bar.

1. Office driver limitations
This driver is not oriented to obtain GA documents. Using this driver the user will looseall the “enhanced color features” provided by the SW RIP, but the user will havethe office features provided by other office drivers except:
Color control sliders
Dry time
PhotoRet

Use SW RIP to obtain full color features.

2. Warning about AutoCad 2000
This driver is for a DesignJet printer but not optimized for AutoCAD 2000. Each time yourun AutoCAD 2000 you will receive a warning message. This message recommends theinstallation of an HP-GL/2 & RTL driver. 10ps/20ps windows driver is a PCL3GUI driver,not a HP-GL2 & RTL driver. Please, donÂ’t try t• Follow the instructions to get anoptimized driver.

Click on the Download Now
Save the program to disk
Run the program
Save all de-compressed files
From Settings / Printers add a new printer
Press Have Disk button from the Add Printer Wizard
Put the directory where you have copied the files
Select the printer
