Description: HP C5100A PhotoSmart Scanner IRQless Driver and Batch Files for Windows 95/98. This self-extracting archive provides a new IRQ-less SCSI driver for the HP C5100A PhotoSmart Scanner. This driver can be installed if there are no IRQ's available. Also included are several batch files that aid in working with the PhotoSmart scanners real-mode drivers if required. Note: This driver works ONLY with the SYM20403 ISA SCSI interface that was shipped with the C5100A PhotoSmart scanner and Windows 95/98. Installation Instructions: To install, copy the file ps130en.exe from the disk or download directory into an empty subdirectory. Second, double click the ps130en.exe to expand its contents. Third, double click the Drv_inst.exe to install the IRQ-less driver. Note: The PC will have to be rebooted for the new driver to take effect.

Version: 2.2.1.7. hpi_scl.dll corrects a possible timing error between the HP PhotoSmart scanner and Windows 95/98. After upgrading Operating System to Windows 98, or installing an HP PhotoSmart Photo scanner on a new Windows 98 Operating System, Can't Communicate errors occur when scanning negatives or prints. Installation Instructions: 1.) Close PhotoSmart scanning software. 2.) Click Start, Find, Files or Folders. 3.) Type HPI_SCL.dll. Search from the root of C (C:\). Click Find Now. NOTE: This file will be located in C:\Windows\System. 4.) Rename HPI_SCL.dll to HPI_SCL.old. 5.) Copy updated file into C:\Windows\System folder. 6.) Open PhotoSmart Scanning software. Scan negatives or slides. NOTE: It is recommended that you name the existing C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\HPI_SCL.dll to HPI_SCL.dll.old before proceeding.

Choose the file you want to download to your system. With your mouse, click on the file. The file will decompress to C:\ps804 and run 'setup' automatically. The directory C:\ps804 may be deleted after the installation of the software is completed.
