B. ESS Modem Drivers Installation
ES56 Data/Fax(/TAM) Modem is fully Compatible with Window 95/98
Plug and Play. Insert this installation disk into drive A: and
follow the procedure of the Update Device Driver Wizard right
after that windows found the "ESS Data Fax Modem" new hardware
device. After install the modem, Restart Windows, otherwise
program ESSSPK.exe will not execute for Call Progress.
C. Uninstallation Procedure
Open Windows Control Panel, and run Add/Remove Programs. In the
software list, select "Uninstall ESS Modem" then click Add/Remove
button. Do not remove the modem drivers from either Modem or
System Properties.

1) Insert this installation disk into drive A:and Run SETUP.EXE
from this diskette.
2) Select COM port at the installation menu.
3) Select OK to continue, CANCEL to cancel the installation.
4) Use the Modem icon in Control Panel to install the modem, it will
automatically detect the modem, do not choose this item manually.
5) Reboot the PC to let system load ESSSPK.EXE automatically.
