1. Insert the Belkin USB Parallel Printer CD into your
CD ROM Drive.
2. Make sure your printer is turned off. Connect
the Belkin Parallel Printer Adapter to the parallel
port on your printer. Turn your printer on.
3. Connect the included USB cable to the Belkin
Parallel Printer Adapter.
4. Connect the USB connector to a free USB port on
your computer. A New Hardware Wizard will
appear on the screen. Windows will detect a USB
Device.
5. Select "Automatic search for a better driver
(Recommended)". Click "Next"
6. Windows will search for and install software for the
"Belkin USB Printer Device v1.1. Click "Finish" to
complete the software installation.
7. On the desktop, Right-click on “My Computer” and
select “Properties”. In the System Properties
window, select the “Device Manager” tab. Verify
that the “Belkin Deluxe USB Printer” is listed in the
Device Manager.
8. Follow the directions under “Configuring Your
Printer to finish setting
CD ROM Drive.

port on your printer. Turn your printer on.

Installation NOTE: Drivers are not needed to install the USB to Parallel Adapter into Windows
XP. They are built into the Operating System. Be sure to have your printer driver
installed onto your PC before installing this cable on your computer.
Windows XP Installation:
1. Plug the “A” type connector (the flat square connector) into a free USB port on
your PC.
2. A “Found New Hardware” window will appear in the lower right portion of the
screen. It will find a “USB Device”. No user intervention is required.
3. A second “Found New Hardware” windows will appear in the same area as before
and find “USB Printing Support”. No user intervention is required.
4. The final window “Found New Hardware” will appear stating, “Your new
hardware is now installed and ready to use”. No user intervention is required.
The Window will disappear.
