How to configure the X-Fi Prelude for 2.1 output. Stereo output will be sent to a stereo amplifier and filtered output directly to a subwoofer. 1. Open ‘Speaker Setup’ window of windows sound control
panel.
2. Select 5.1 Surround, Press ‘Next’ button
3. Uncheck ‘Center’, ‘Rear pair’ optional speakers
4. Uncheck ‘Front left and right’ Full-rage speakers
4. ‘Speaker and Headphone’ -> ‘Bass Settings’… tab
5. Check ‘Enable Bass Redirection’
6. Adjust ‘Crossover Frequency’ and Subwoofer Level

Auzen X-Fi Prelude Driver Installation Guide
??Please follow the procedure for installation
1. The first page for License Agreement. Click ‘Yes’.
2. If you do not want to choose other location, click ‘Next’.
3. Click the ‘Full Installation’ button.
4. Select the default mode you want to have when you load the Console Launcher and
click ‘Next’.
5. Select the channel according to your speaker system and click ‘Next’.
6. Complete your settings. Click ‘Next’ and start the installation.
7. If any message appears on your screen during the installation, just click ‘Continue’,
‘Yes’ or ‘Installation’. Do not click keyboard or any other points on your screen.
8. Congratulations! The installation is successfully completed.
9. Go to ‘Control panel’ ? ‘System’ ? ‘Device Manager’ and confirm that your pc system
recognizes the Auzen X-Fi Prelude 7.1 properly.

In Game Mode,
- Check the CMSS3D
- Set the speaker as 5.1 or 7.1channel.
- Click ‘Settings’.
- Check the box for Dolby Digital Live.
* In Windows Vista, you need to set default device and channel mode to get DDL surround sound.
- Set the Speakers as default device.
- Right click the ‘Speakers’
- Set the channel as 5.1 or 7.1 surround
- Click the ‘Next’ button and finish the speaker settings.
Alchemy program.
- Open the Alchemy program
- You can choose the application
- Transfer the application to the box for Alchemy-enabled Games
- Revitalize the EAX function in the Game Option and feel the 3D sound positioning.

How to connect the X-Tension DIN to the Auzen X-Fi Prelude soundcard. Please take these instructions to an experienced technician for installation. Guide for Connecting Auzen X-Tension DIN with Auzen X-Fi Prelude 7.1
The Auzen X-Tension DIN is compatible with Auzen X-Fi Prelude 7.1.
However, there are some issues.
- Compatible: MIDI In, MIDI Out, SPDIF Out
- Incompatible: MIC In, SPDIF In, DIN
Please periodically check the Auzentec.com website for updates.

Digital I/O on the ‘Auzen X-Fi Prelude 7.1’
- On your X-Fi Prelude soundcard,
Identify the Digital 40-PIN I/O port for
the extension board
- Counting from right to the left, find
the pins located at position 21.
- Bend or cut these pins. Caution: Start
at the right side and count to the left.
Examine the image at left if unsure.
- No data is transferred through the two
middle pins at position 21, so there is
no harm to the 40-pin connector if
you cut them.

- Plug the data cable jack into the 20
pins at the right side of Digital I/O Port
- Note the placement of the red wire in
example ( O )
- Caution: If the red wire is on the wrong
end as in example ( X ), one of
condensers will be damaged.
UP_EXT_IO port on the ‘Auzen X-Tension DIN’
- Plug the jack into the UP_EXT_IO port
socket.
- Caution: Compare the shape of the
socket and jack before installing.

The latest Creative ALchemy driver at Creative’s website is not compatible with Auzen X-Fi
Prelude 7.1. We are working on the driver and will release it soon.
Currently, the Alchemy driver version 1.3.0.0 is compatible with Auzen X-Fi Prelude 7.1.

- Click the ‘Transmute’ button to activate the OpenAL.

Creative's ALchemy software, which translates legacy DirectSound calls into OpenAL for use on Windows Vista. Note: This release is compatible with the X-Fi Prelude.
