Installation of InterAct GoPad for “Windows ME”
It is because Windows ME will use system default device driver for those HID gaming devices automatically once the device is plugged in, please follow steps described below to install software of “InterAct Gaming Devices” while using USB interface:
Step1 : Unplug device and execute “Remove_USB.EXE”
This step is not required if you have never plugged in the device to the USB port while using Windows ME system. However, it is suggest to do the following to clear those system entries of the system:
1.1 Unplug the device from the USB port
1.2 Execute program “Remove_USB.EXE”, select entry of particular device (e.g.: GoPad) and click OK button.
Step 2 : Install driver through “Add others” button of Control Panel
With the device being unplugged, follow steps describe below to install USB device drivers.
2.1 Click "Start" in the left bottom corner of Windows® system. Click "Settings" and "Control Panel".
2.2 Double click on the "Game Controllers" icon.
2.3 Click button "Add" to continue.
2.3 Click button "Add Other..." to continue.
2.4 On the left side of the window, select "standard game device".On the right side of the window, select "HID-compliant game controller".
2.5 Click button “Hard Disk…” to browse corresponding .INF file of the InterAct Gaming Device. The .INF file should be stored in the root directory of the CD-ROM bundled with the gaming device.
For GoPad, select GoPad.INF and click button “OK” to continue.
2.6 Select proper entry (e.g.: InterAct GoPad for “GoPad”) and click button “OK” to continue.
2.7 Windows ME will start to copy USB device drivers and modify entries of system registry according to those defined in the .INF file. System will display the following dialog box while the installation is completed. Click button “Finish” to continue.
2.8 While the following dialog box appear, click button “Cancel” to close it and then click button “OK” to close the Control Panel.
Step 3: Plug device and reboot system
Please plug in the Gaming Device to USB port of your system and reboot system, this complete USB installation for Windows ME.
While the gaming device is plugged into the USB port, the following dialog boxes will be displayed and closed automatically.
