• Driver files split between NT (Win2000, WinXP) and 9x (Win98, Win98SE, WinMe) operating system.
• The NT driver files (glausb.sys, gwausb.sys, gaausb.sys) are intended for WHQL submissions for Win2000 and WinXP.
• The 9x driver files (glausb98.sys, gwausb98.sys, gaausb98.sys) can be used on any platform, but are not intended for WHQL submission. To use the 9x driver files on Win2000 and WinNT the INF files must be modified in the WinNT sections to point to the 9x driver files (change the driver names from NT to 9x).
• The main difference between the NT files and the 9x files is the use of specific functions for the IOCTL interface. The NT files use only NDIS functions, which is a WHQL requirement. The 9x files use legacy functions for the IOCTL interface and thus are not WHQL compliant.
