Windows 2000

These drivers must be installed by a user with Windows 2000 Administrator privileges.
Please consult your system administrator or Microsoft Windows 2000 User's Manual for more
information on Administrator privileges.

1 Start Microsoft Windows 2000.

2 From the Start menu, select Settings, point to Control Panel, select System,
and click Device Manager.

3 Under Display adapters, select the name of the adapter you have installed.
If you do not see a Display adapters option, or if your adapter is not listed,
under Other Devices, select Video Controller (VGA Compatible).

4 Select the Driver tab, point to Update Driver, click Next two times.

5 Verify that "Specify a location" has a check mark next to it. If it does not, click
in the box next to "Specify a location" to place a check mark in the box. Select Next.

6 Enter the path to the drivers in the "Copy manufacturer's files from:" dialog. Select OK.

7 If you get a dialog box that states "A suitable driver for this device is already installed.",
click in the box next to "Install one of the other drivers" to place a check mark in the box,
then select Next.

Otherwise, select Next, then proceed to step 9.

8 Select the following driver from the list. NVIDIA RIVA TNT is used an example;
make sure to select your NVIDIA adapter from the list.

To install the drivers

1 Click the Start button, point to Settings, and click Control Panel.

2 Double-click Display, and click the Settings tab.

3 Click Advanced Properties, click the Adapter tab, then click Change.

4 Select Have Disk, then select or type the path to the driver files ("C:\Hercules Display Drivers" by default),
then click OK.

Windows should find files for your Hercules graphics board. If Windows cannot
find the files, check that the path name for the diskette is correct and
that the correct diskette is inserted in it.

5 If Windows found the files, select OK.

Windows copies the files to the hard disk.

6 Click Apply, click OK, then click Apply.

7 Click Yes when Windows asks if you wish to restart the computer.


Windows 98

To install the drivers

1 Click the Start button, point to Settings, and click Control Panel.

2 Double-click Display, and click the Settings tab.

3 Click Advanced, click the Adapter tab, then click Change.

4 Click Next, click Display a list of all the drivers in a specific location, so
you can select the driver you want, then click Next.

5 Click Have Disk, select or type the path to the folder containing the driver
files ("C:\Hercules Display Drivers" by default), then click OK.

Windows should find files for your Hercules graphics board. If Windows cannot
find the files, check that the path name for the driver files is correct.

2 Click the Start button on the control bar, point to Settings, and click Control Panel.

3 Double-click Display, click the Settings tab, click Display Type, then click Change.

4 hen select or type the path to the driver files, then click OK.

Windows should find files for your Hercules graphics board. If Windows cannot
find the files, check that the path name for the diskette is correct and
that the correct diskette is inserted in it.

6 If Windows found the files, select OK.

7 Click yes when Windows NT informs you that you are installing a third party
driver and asks if you wish to proceed

Windows NT copies the files to the hard disk.

8 Click OK, click Close, then click Close.

9 Remove diskettes from the diskette drive, then click Yes when Windows NT asks
if you wish to restart the computer.
