This installer will update the print driver to the latest version. If you have previously installed software for your hp all-in-one device, this installer will only update the print driver, although the software for scanning, faxing, and copying will be unaffected.
The following is a list of operating systems supported as of the release date for this software version:

Installation Instructions

Double-click on the hp all-in-one installer icon on the desktop to begin installation.
SOFTWARE DOWNLOAD HAS DECODING FAILURE USING SAFARI (Mac OS X Only)
When downloading hp all-in-one software using Safari (version 1.2), the downloading completes but displays a decoding error in the Download Manager.
SOLUTION:
Open Safari.
Select Preferences from the Safari menu.
Click the General icon in the toolbar.
Uncheck Open "safe" files after downloading.
Re-download driver.
It is advisable to re-open the Preferences and recheck Open "safe" files after downloading after re-downloading driver.
Manually Add the Printer
Open the Printer Setup Utility – located in /Applications/Utilities folder on the hard disk
Click 'Add'
Select 'USB' from the drop-down menu
Select your hp all-in-one model from the list

Instructions for Installation
Download the web package to your desktop.
If you have already installed the software for this device and you are either upgrading or re-installing you will need to disconnect the USB cable from your all-in-one, turn the device off, and then uninstall the software. The previous installation can be removed by running the Uninstall Software program via the START\Programs\Hewlett-Packard menu or via Add/Remove Programs in the Windows control panel. Please reboot your PC when prompted.
After uninstalling the previous software double click the web package and follow the on screen instructions. Do not plug in the USB cable until you reach the Setup Your Device Now screen. After you plug in the USB cable press the ON button on the front panel to turn your all-in-one on.
After the HP Product Registration window appears you will need to reboot the PC and then delete the web package from your desktop and the temp files located in c:\temp\HP All-in-One Series Web Release.

This patch enables your HP all-in-one to scan to Office 2003 applications (Word, PowerPoint, and FrontPage Editor).
Installation instructions:
Click the Download button.
When prompted, choose Open to start the download and run the installer.
Follow the onscreen instructions.
Adding Office 2003 applications to your scanning destinations:
Install Office 2003.
Open the HP Director.
Be sure your device is listed at the top of the HP Director.
Click Settings, click Scan Settings & Preferences, and then click Scan to...Setup.
Select an Office 2003 application from the Available Scan Desinations and click Add. The application name will display in the Front Panel Destinations list.
Click OK.
To test, press the Scan button on the front panel of your HP all-in-one device. Scroll through the Scan menu and verify the application name appears in the display.

This uninstaller utility will remove the HP all-in-one software from your computer even if the normal software uninstaller will not. Use this utility if you cannot uninstall the all-in-one software or cannot get it reinstalled successfully.
The entries for the all-in-one will be removed from the Windows Registry. HP advises owners using Windows Me and XP to make a System Restore point prior to running this utility and another after it has been run. Click Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools, and then System Restore to run System Restore.

Be aware, if you have other HP All-in-one, Deskjet or Photosmart printers or HP ScanJet scanners and Photosmart camera software connected and installed on the your computer, this utility may also remove components of those products and require you to reinstall the software included with those products. Before running this utility, uninstall the software for these products.
Note: If you are going to install an HP Photosmart 120, 320, 620, 720, 810, or 850 digital cameras, this software should be installed prior to reinstalling the HP all-in-one software or an error will occur while installing the camera software.
HP Laserjet printers and other HP equipment connected to your PC will NOT be affected by this utility.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
This utility removes only version 4.2.0 of the driver.
Running the removal utility may remove the drivers and software for other HP printing, scanning or digital imaging products.
This utility works in stages. The first time the utility is used, it runs at level one. The next time the utility is used, it runs at level two. There are four levels. The effects of each level are shown in the table below.
