2. Click Help, and then click About.

If the version is 6.00.2800.1106 (or higher), your computer already has Internet Explorer 6.0 installed.
If the version is less than 6.00.2800.1106, you need to download and install Internet Explorer 6.0 (available from www.microsoft.com - search on the Microsoft Web site for 'Internet Explorer 6.'). Please do this before you proceed to download the software.

Installation Instructions

2. When a new pop-up window appears, click on the Save Only button.
2. Save the file in a desired location.

Note: Make sure the printer is not connected to the computer before running the file.

This Software and Driver Removal Utility is intended for users to remove the HP software from their system.

If problems arise while installing or uninstalling the HP software, download this removal utility to uninstall the software before attempting reinstallation.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
This utility removes only version 8.0.0 of the driver. Running the removal utility may remove the drivers and software for other HP printing, scanning, or digital imaging products. This utility (uninstall.bat) works in stages. The first time the utility is used, it runs at level one. The next time the utility is used, it runs at level two. There are four levels. The effects of each level are shown in the table below.

Uninstaller level Description

Level 1 Removes the Windows device discovery (Plug and Play) entries from the Windows registry. After running Level 1, connect the USB cable to the all-in-one and let Windows try to discover the device again.

Level 2 Performs Level 1 and removes the software drivers. After running Level 2, run the all-in-one installer and use the "Add a new device" option to attempt to reinstall the all-in-one again.

Level 3 Performs Levels 1 and 2 and removes the HP Photo and Imaging software. You must completely reinstall the all-in-one software after running Level 3.

Level 4 Performs Levels 1, 2 and 3, and removes HP Software Update. You must completely reinstall the all-in-one software after running Level 4.

• Purge Spooler Issue: The utility will check if the print queue is empty and will clear it, if necessary.

• Printer Status Issue: The utility will check if the print status is offline or paused and will change the status to online or resume, if necessary.

• Device Manager Issue: The utility will check for cautioned entries in the device manager. In order to fix the issue, the utility will force a plu and play re-scan of the device manager.

• Printer Port Issue: The utility will check whether the selected printer is configured to use a DOT4 port or the USB00X Port and assign the correct printer port, if necessary.
