System Requirements

To check the version of your current printer firmware, use either one of the following options:

Toolbox
1. Go to Solution Centre; select HP Officejet Pro L7500/L7600/L7700
2. Click on Settings > Printer Toolbox
3. On the Information tab, click Hardware information 4. The current firmware version will appear in the Hardware information dialog box

Printing a Self Test Diagnostic Page
1. Press and hold the Power button on the printer.
2. Press the Cancel (X) button once and then release the power button
3. The Self Test Diagnostic Page will be printed.
4. The current firmware revision will appear on the printed Self Test Diagnostic Page

Installation Instructions

1. Switch on the HP Officejet Pro L7300/7500/L7600/L7700 series printer and wait until the printer is READY. (The Power light should be on)
2. Double click on OfficejetProL7X00_R2006PxN.exe to launch the HP Firmware Download Utility. A list of HP Officejet Pro L7300/7500/L7600/L7700 series printers detected will be displayed on the screen.

Note: If the Wired network printer you wish to upgrade is not displayed in the detected printer list, click on the Find Printers on Network button to scan for printers connected via the wired network.

3. Click on the checkboxes on the left to select single or multiple HP Officejet Pro L7300/7500/L7600/L7700 series printers you wish to upgrade.
4. Click on the Download button to start the firmware flashing process.
5. Message showing "Successfully downloaded firmware to the printer" will be shown. Firmware flashing will begin. CAUTION! Do not interrupt the printer during the upgrade process. Printer maybe damaged if power is interrupted during the firmware upgrade process.
6. When the printer has sucessfully completed the flashing process, it will automatically print out a Self Test Diagnostic Page, that will show the new firmware version.

The Basic Feature software solution is a driver only software solution intended for corporate users who want a basic print and scan driver to use with their HP all-in-one device.

This installation supports networked (Ethernet or wireless) and USB installations. The network install method is supported from the command line only; please see Readme file for proper Network Installation. (Readme files can be found in extraction directory, by default the location is " HP_WebRelease\readme_.html")

This scrubber utility solution is intended for corporate users whom want to remove Corporate solution in their HP all-in-one device.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
This utility removes only version 7.0.0 of the driver.

Please use uninstall_l1.bat and uninstall_l2.bat to perform the uninstallation. The effects of each level are shown in the table below.
Uninstaller levelDescription
1Removes the Windows device discovery (Plug and Play) entries from the Windows registry. After running level 1, connect the USB cable to the printer and let Windows try to discover the device again.
2Performs Level 1 and removes the software drivers. After running level 2, please reboot the system.

If you only want the print driver (without the Full Software Suite), it is available as a separate download named "HP Officejet Pro Basic Feature Software/Driver".
