HP business inkjet 1200 series – Scrubber utility
This scrubber utility supports the HP business inkjet 1200 printer on Windows 2000, & Windows XP. Use this utility ONLY if the software was not successfully installed, or the Uninstaller could not be found.
NOTE: Please reboot the computer before running this utility.
The scrubber utility cleans up the registry in case of a failed USB installation or an unclean or failed un-installation. It is recommended that users reboot the computer before running the utility.
To run the scrubber utility, follow these steps:
Disconnect the printer from the computer.
Restart Windows or reboot the computer.
Download the file to a newly created sub-directory on your local hard drive.
Double click on the downloaded “exe” file. This will extract all necessary components and initiate an automatic launch of the setup program.
Double click on the scrubxx.exe file.
Follow the step-by-step instructions on your screen.
After launching the specified operating system, first run the respective “exe” file to execute the scrubber utility.
Restart the computer and then run the CD installer again to install the printer driver, if required.
The scrubber utility performs the following activities:
Reads the .INI file for all information.
Deletes all printer icons.
Deletes the printer driver and its dependent files.
Deletes all the devices in the computer with the specified plug-n-play ID and USB ID.
Deletes all the .INF and .PNF files specified in the SCRUB.INI file.
Deletes all oem files in the INF directory.
Deletes all the files specified in the Delete Files section.
NOTE: The scrubber utility is not available for Windows NT 4.0 computers.
