Description
This DC controller firmware update is only for the HP Color LaserJet 2600n printer. This utility can be run only from a Macintosh computer running OS X 10.2, 10.3 and 10.4. It will NOT function in the MAC OS 9 environment (see system requirements below). This update should be applied if the printer is experiencing fuser offset (a.k.a. ghosting).

Corrects fuser offset (ghosting) that typically appears on the first print jobs after the printer has been idle for several hours. The offset or ghosting typically appears on the left or right margin but is not limited to those areas.

This firmware update utility is for the HP Color LaserJet 2600n printer only. This utility updates the printer's firmware version to 20070716 (July 16, 2007). The firmware version can be found on the Self Test/Configuration Page which can be printed from the printer's Reports menu.
