HP 2500C Series Postscript Firmware Upgrade. This firmware upgrade is required only for PostScript printing in HP2500C series printer. Comparing with version 3010.106.146, this new version 3010.106.209 provides improvement on color vividness in PostScript printing. This firmware works with HP2500C base firmware V 7.x.x and above. You are required to flash the PostScript firmware through a LPT port from your PC. Please refer to the enclosed README file details. For PostScript printing, ensure that the Postscript Memory Module has been installed into the HP 2500C printer. This Memory Module is pre-installed in the HP 2500CM printer.

Installation / Upgrade instructions:
For Windows 95 & Windows 98:
Download this file to a newly created sub-directory on your local hard drive.
If possible, run the printer un-installer utility. If not, delete the existing printer icon on your control panel.
Use the "add printer" option to install this driver.
For Windows NT to Windows 95/98 Client (alternate driver):
Method A
Download this file to a newly created sub-directory on your local hard drive.
First, remove the driver on the NT system (along with the existing alternate driver) by deleting the printer icon from the control panel.
Reinstall the NT driver onto the server, using the "add printer" option and this driver (version 3.2) as the alternate driver.
Delete the existing printer icons on all client systems and perform a point & print operation.
NB : The best results will be obtained by using this driver (version 3.2) as an alternate combined with the hp2000c/hp2500c series - version 3.1 driver on NT.
Method B
Download this file to a newly created sub-directory on your local hard drive.
Install the hp2000c/hp2500c series driver (version 3.1) on NT, and add version 3.2 as the alternate driver.
Perform a point & print operation.
For Windows 2000 to Windows 95/98 Client (alternate driver):

Download this file to a newly created sub-directory on your local hard drive.
First, use the upgrade option to upgrade the alternate driver on your Windows 2000 server.
Delete the existing printer icons on all client systems and perform a point & print operation.
Method B
Download this file to a newly created sub-directory on your local hard drive.
Delete the existing alternate printer driver and add the version 3.2 as the new alternate driver

This driver supports the hp 2500c series printer on Windows 95, Windows 98 & Windows ME. It contains only the driver and does not include installation instructions, the printer driver uninstaller or the hp deskjet toolbox

Installation instructions:
Download the file to a newly created sub-directory on your local hard drive.
Double click the .exe file.
This will extract all components necessary for the "add printer" installation.
Use the printer folder or the windows control panel to initiate the "add printer" option on your computer.
Follow the step-by-step instructions, which will appear, on your screen.
When appropriate, use the "Have Disk" option, and start the installation by browsing to the sub-directory that you created earlier. Follow the remaining instructions, which will appear, on your screen.
