Standard Client Driver. Unzip file then set up the Splash G640 Printer, using the “Add Printer” control panel, following the instructions provided in the G640 user guide. This driver can be use for G640 DFE's with or without Service Pack 2 loaded.

The drivers included in this bundle install correctly when the "Disable Kernel-Mode Installation" setting is enabled. Creating a print queue for Splash on Windows 2003 Server can result in a failed install. If the Windows 2003 Server system setting "Disable Kernel-Mode Driver Installation" is enabled, which it is by default, the driver installation will get to the last step and then error with an error message stating that installation of kernel-mode drivers is not allowed. The suggested workaround has been to change that setting to allow kernel-mode driver installation, install Splash, then change the setting back. The driver is not WHQL certified, so the WHQL error message will appear. You need to choose to ignore this message.
