Info
This compressed tarball contains Linux driver diskette images for a variety of different Linux distributions. The following is a list of the image files contained in this file: RHAS 2.1, RHEL 3, RHEL 4, SuSE 7.3 through 9.2, SLES 8 and 9, United Linux 1, CentOS3 and 4, RH Fedora Core 1 and 2. Some of these are not officially supported, but are being provided for your convenience. Installation Instruction: These driver diskettes are intended for use with new Linux installations. Determine the correct kernel version and identify which diskette images contain drivers for that kernel. If the file ends in .img, create the appropriate driver diskette using rawrite (under Linux) or RawWrite for Windows (under Windows - see http://uranus.it.swin.edu.au/~jn/linux/rawwrite.htm to download). If the file ends in .iso, create a CD using CD writing software like Nero, RecordNow!, or Roxio EZCD Creator.
The driver diskette or CD is typically supplied during the installation process. For older Red Hat distributions, start the installation process using 'linux dd' after booting from the installation CD. Consult the manual for the intended Linux distribution to idenitfy how to utilize a driver diskette or CD.
Requirements: These driver diskettes should only be used with modern Adaptec RAID controllers running firmware 7348 or newer. These include the 2120S, 2130SLP, 2200S, 2230SLP, 2410SA, 2810SA, and 21610SA.
