The USB 2.0 EHCI controller is tagged with a yellow exclamation icon in Windows 98SE/Me
Device Manager. Windows 98SE or Windows Me does not recognize it due to the lack of USB 2.0
EHCI controller driver in Windows 98SE/Me. In order to address the yellow exclamation icon
under Windows 98SE/Me, SiS recommends either disabling the USB 2.0 EHCI controller in the
system BIOS setup menu or getting USB 2.0 Host driver from third-party software vendors.
USB2.0 For Windows 2000
=====================
1.First,you must install Windows 2000 SERVICE PACK 4.
2.Right-click "My Computer" icon, select "Properties".
3.Select the "Hardware" tab, and click the "Device Manager" button.
4.Right-click on the "Universal Serial Bus(USB) Controller" and select "Properties".
5.Click the "Driver" tab and click the "Update Driver" button then click "Next" twice.
6.Select "Microsoft Windows Update" and click "Next".
7.Do as the system prompted to finish and restart.
USB2.0 For Windows XP
=====================
1.First,you must install Windows XP SERVICE PACK 1.
2.Right-click "My Computer" icon, select "Properties".
3.Select the "Hardware" tab, and click the "Device Manager" button.
4.Right-click on the "Universal Serial Bus(USB) Controller" and select "Properties".
5.Click the "Driver" tab and click the "Update Driver" button then click "Next".
6.Select "Search for a suitable driver for my device(recommended)" and click "Next".
7.Do as the system prompted to finish.

Note: ee19x.exe cannot support multiple access through network

(2) Modify EEPROM data file(ee) manually

1) Lan19x.exe -- ask user to specify LoopCount and Limit.

Usage : lan19x

: The number of loop will be test.
: If the number of tset failed exceed limit number will stop the test.
2) exlb19x.exe -- loopback test with different user interface
-- exlb needs a font file : modern.fon
Usage : exlb19x

: The number of loop will be test.
: If the number of tset failed exceed limit number will stop the test.


3) ee19x.exe -- add the function that not to advance to
next MAC address and output log file

Usage : ee19x [/Options]
Options : /f --> fixed MAC address
/l --> output log file
/r --> restart system after programming MAC address

Driver and Application Installation/Removal Procedure For Realtek AC'97 Codec:

For Windows 2000/Windows Me/Windows XP /Win98 Gold(First Edition)/Win98SE

Setup Audio Driver and Application for Foxconn 756K8AA-ERS at first time:
----------------------------------------

Step 1. Before installing the Realtek AC'97 Drivers & Applications, Press the
[Cancel] button if Windows detect the PCI Multimedia Audio device.

Step 2. Insert the "Realtek AC'97 Drivers & Applications" CD into the CD-ROM
drive and run the setup.exe program to finish the installation.

Step 3. Click on [Next/OK/Go] to continue the procedure. If the Windows popup
"Digital Signature Not Found" message, press [Yes] to continue the
installation.

Step 4. Finally, select to restart the system and press [Finish] to complete
the installation.

The system will reload the drivers and do some adjustments in the INF
file if so required.

1. Double-click the "System" icon to open the "System Properties" dialog from Control Panel .
2. Choose "Hardware" tab and click the "Device Manager" button .
3. Please right-click mouse on "MultiMedia Audio Controller" and choose the "Properties" menu item
to show the driver details.
4. Click the "Driver" tab and then click the "Update Driver." button for update.
5. Please follow the instructions of the "Upgrade Device Driver Wizard".
6. Choose "Search for a suitable driver for my device" and click the "Next" button.
7. Please specify the driver location/source and then click the "Next" button in this case,
"Specify a location" has been chosen.
8. If "Specify driver location" is chosen, the Wizard will ask for the path where the driver is located.
9. Click the "Next" button to install Audio Driver on "Driver Files Search Results".
10. If the "Digital Signature Not Found" dialog is opened, click the "Yes" button to continue
the Installation.
11. After completing the above steps, the drier has been installed into the system.
Please click "Finish" button to complete the installation.

Step 1. Follow Step 2,3,4 described in [Setup at first time] above to complete
the procedure.

Remove Foxconn 756K8AA-ERS Driver and Application:
----------------------------------------

Step 1. Go to Start\Settings\Control Panel.

Step 2. Select [Add/Remove Programs] icon.

Step 3. Select "Realtek AC'97 Audio" and press [Change/Remove]
button.

Step 4. Click on [Next/OK/Go] to finish the uninstallation.

Step 5. At the end of the procedure, select to restart the system and press
[Finish] to complete the uninstallation for 756K8AA-ERS Audio Driver.
For Windows NT4.0 driver
