Info
Emulex has updated the minimum revision of firmware to be used with the LP11002 HBA to version 2.10a10 in order to increase the overall robustness of the product. Emulex recommends that you update LP11002 HBAs with this firmware during the server system's next scheduled maintenance period. See the readme.txt file, which is included with the 2.10a10 firmware, for additional information. Compatibility:
This kit supports the LP11002 PCI host adapter.
This kit includes the following files:
README.TXT The file you are reading
BF210A10.ALL All firmware components, no boot code
LP6DUTIL.EXE DOS-based diagnostic utility 9.3a6
LP6DUTIL.DOC LP6DUTIL diagnostic utility document
SAMPLESCRIPT.TXT An example script for LP6DUTIL 9.3a6
Changes and Corrections:
-- Changes and corrections between 2.10a10 and 2.10a9:
Improved DMA error handling of split errors where host memory has been
made unavailable. (CR 19348, 19356, 19929, 20220)
A DMA attempt and error immediately after unconfiguring memory no longer
causes the HBA to ignore further commands.
(CR 19932, 19357, 19345, 20221)
Improved management of unavailable memory by limiting the number of DMA
retries. The HBA now reports an error attention after retries have been
exhausted.
(CR 19351, 19359, 19934, 20222)
Improved handling of outstanding PCI queue entries on failing DMA attempts.
The PCI entry which failed is now invalidated properly.
(CR 19532, 19936, 20223, 20439)
Improved transmit channel reset handling to await ASIC memory access
completion. (CR 19606, 19785, 19937, 20224)
Modified the Loopback Test to eliminate false error detection.
(CR 19901, 20130, 20225, 20227)
-- Changes and corrections between 2.10a9 and 2.10a8:
Changed DMA engine to quiesce and shutdown so that a channel reset on one
channel does not affect operations of the other channel.
(CR 18627, 18919, 18927, 19089, 18921, 19090)
Corrected UART interrupt handling to eliminate chance of channel lock up
on first POST after flash is programmed. (CR 18621, 19083)
Modified initialization of configuration region to avoid errors if host
reads it before the initial configuration is complete.
(CR 19177, 19187, 19188)
-- Changes and corrections between 2.10a8 and 2.10a7:
Improved handling of unexpected link events after a DownLink command by
returning to a non-active state after the command is processed.
(CR 17081, 17577, 17606, 18281)
Several issues with FLASH access during reset of only one port have been
eliminated by synchronizing the flash access speed of both ports.
(CR 17472, 17475, 17539, 17542, 17625, 17626, 17647, 17648, 18212,
18307)
An I/O timeout during tape operation was eliminated by delaying
processing of any FCP2 errors during discovery. (CR 17363, 18287, 18288)
The maximum IOCB value reported by read_config now reports the correct
number of buffers in the pool. (CR 18223, 18289, 18290, 18348)
